Gold 05:55
They said our maps were out of date So waste time while we get some new ones made So you can celebrate When every road had changed And every town's been rearranged You'll never feel more lost or so stray Found an ocean underground And I've been trying to dig it out But there's nothing there but gold There's nothing there but gold Is there something i can put in the earth to make the cycles stop We searched for miles with no luck We searched for days and got lost A switch somebody flipped and then somehow forgot We searched for miles with no luck We searched for days and got lost Is there somewhere i can go to get lost Trade in most of my thoughts See what it's like to be calm And not stringing myself along 'Cause I’ve been feeling so vague I don't have anything to blame If it's just the same, I'll wait it out And not think about When they said our maps were out of date So hang tight And we'll get some new ones made To soon be thrown away When every road is changed We switch some letters in some names So you can feel lost and out of place Found an ocean underground And I've been trying to dig it out But there's nothing there but gold There's nothing there but gold It was better being incomplete Knew what to do when I knew what to be We searched for miles with no luck We searched for days and got lost

Strings 03:41
Plant yourself where grass doesn’t grow You still reach so deep in the soil To be anything Don’t care if it’s green I’ll fix it once my roots get deep And crowd out everything for miles around I’ve been trying to keep sane With unraveling strings They’re too thin to climb Too thick to cut I’ve been trying to strain less To lean into the sun And soak up what i need To see over the trees I’ve been hollowing out homes To climb in when I grow Leave space for some limbs To bloom and begin With ear to the ground, and breathing the sound There’s nothing coming for you There’s nothing coming for you Sink ‘til you’re found, shredding dirt spin around There’s nothing coming for you There’s nothing coming for you Once you’re dug into place All your tools stowed away You sigh and look down Nestle roots to the ground Trained to number your days But all your numbers were fake Just start clutching the ground Just start making a sound

Ghost 04:40
Float like a ghost to Dresser drawers to sift through Keepsakes from future days Promised wealth, so just wait On a riverbed, you rattled chains So no one else could stay sane And they left their gold in the haunt you made But the stories told never used your name All your breaths were gone, so you made some noise You rattle chains To have some effect From a dark shore Screaming I exist On the riverbed The men would shake Thought they heard a sound Thought they saw something Screaming I exist, yeah I exist Thought they heard something Thought they heard something Screaming I exist, yeah I exist It was just the wind House was settling On a crowded shore they learned your name 'Til the waves came, took your memory Laid it in the sand, taken bit by bit Over centuries, swimming in the sea Just when I was sure I’d be a statue standing in the sea Folded up my bones to sleep in separate places out of reach Screaming I exist, I’m so sure of it Traded anything to be everything Screaming I exist, I made sure of it Traded everything to be anything

Giants 06:18
Giants A hundred pages but Everything's been crossed out So i can't write With every ship that's passed An empty deck unsteered So I won't try ‘Cause we were giants once We've been losing our height And that's alright Got lost in the wash of the sea Trampling And it spits when it speaks Says if I stay still I'll just freeze So forgive me for the damage I breathe Shear the tops of mountains off And climb to somewhere past the trees To find flat land with crowds for miles And tell ourselves we reached the peak And now nothing can be found That hasn't been written down I saw the answers on a page When I reach down it blows away Flipping page to page For sentences that fill some empty space A phrase that clicks and flips a switch I made But never found again Flipping page to page Just trying to read some words that I erased There's still a couple left that I can make out, but don't know what i meant Flipping page to page To find something I circled as a kid And never read again just mourned the waste Of all the ink I spent But we were giants once Folded ourselves up to shove into ship beds Catching the wind in a sheet Hoping for speed that we just couldn't reach Atop a dying dream Lost in the wash of the sea, we got crossed out

Eden 04:09
My bare feet could not make enough sound And slipped far too easily down The stairs to gardens, so desperately grown With seeds we found lying around, and thought would make a nice home But there were far too many flaws Every almost perfect bloom had a couple petals gone We swept up a few that seemed good enough to keep And pressed to pages blank as birth, to hide under the dirt Carve out your plot And grow whatever you know how And keep whatever breaks the ground ‘Cause it seems better tending To a window sill plant Than fields of flowers you’ll forget So calm down We shored up our shrinking fields To keep what flowers we could steal And each wave came Pulled soil away Left roots just floating in its place Through hard rain Put our tools away Said we should calm down for a change Calm down Calm down

To step out of the fog and be found And be found clearer now than then Still straining to see in Walking through the trees to get clean To get clean getting lost between But so free ‘Til I go form something that fits And it fit when it started But you shrank out of it ‘Til I go step onto pavement It makes it easier to move To nothing Take my blank slates or I'll fall I'll fall and erase every word I write Knowing it won't ever dry And I'll save my pages for when I'm gone I'm gone but can I just get something down From when I used to like myself If this amounts To anything at all then when the morning comes I will be lost again To be okay Wasting away Felt alright When I felt out of place And just needed a few more days ‘Til I go form something that fits Make it stick And I can just calm down And get back to living again To be alright
